Welcome to the year 2021, where after nearly 250 years of women fighting for equality, there are still countries depicting them as inferior. Women face discrimination that is integrated into society. It is seen daily, from their position at home to a complete global status. This prejudice in multiple minds has manifested in raised hands by entrusted people. A fight for rights should not be converted into a fight with violence. Member states need to understand the need for empowerment and its enforcement. They need to take steps in the right direction. Do you think you can help pave the way?
The Commission on the Status of Women at DMUN ‘21 is dedicated to the cause of expanding horizons and narrow minds.Gender equality is a human fight, not a female fight.
