United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

AGENDA
Discussing the influence of Pharmaceutical Corporations and Cartels on Drug Trafficking
with special emphasis on Latin America

We don't do drugs, we are drugs.

This edition of DMUN features a committee that has got a wickedly exciting dynamic where we will be discussing an issue that is constantly evolving, undermining economic and social development and contributing to crime, instability, insecurity.  Drug Trafficking - a $32 billion business, affects communities globally. There has been a drastic hike in the abuse and trafficking of prescription drugs and over-the-counter pharmaceutical preparations containing narcotic drugs. Many of these drugs, shockingly, are obtained in local pharmacies despite what Breaking Bad would have you believe.

To your left, countries looking to end suffering, to your right cartels reaching for glory and gain; all while corporations sit and watch with glistening pockets. Welcome, delegates, to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
